Despite being throttled by Spain (Italy gets their asses handed to them by Spain) in the European Cup Final, Italy still has some rabid football (soccer) fans that are looking forward to the upcoming Serie A season.  Defending champion Juventus, the most storied of all Italian soccer (calcio) programs looks to be the favorite to repeat.  They can expect a lot of teams to bring their "A" game when they face each other, but I don't think it'll be enough come the end of the season.

The two Milanese teams might be able to give them a run for the money (AC Milan and Inter). AS Roma is looking to bounce back from a disappointing season and they could be in the mix as well.

Either way, it should be an exciting season and I am looking forward to it!
