This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Siena. It is usually known as "Il Campo." This place is believed to be the heart of Siena. This building is paved with some beautiful bricks. You can enjoy some restaurants, cafes, and some other historic buildings in this place. It is very popular for its narrow medieval street that lead to the piazza. This street has unique fan shape that is very interesting for most tourists. Don't forget to visit the Il Magnifico Bakery that sells some traditional sweets from Siena.

2. Palazzo Pubblico

When you visit Siena, you should come visit the Palazzo Pubblico. It is a town hall building that is located in the center of the city. It is very popular for its bell tower that is called as Torre del Mangia (see photo on the right). This bell tower is about 100 meters tall. This tower is claimed to be the second highest bell tower in this country. You are able to climb to the top of this tower to enjoy all beautiful panoramic views from Siena.

3. Pinacoteca Nazionale

This is an art museum that is located in this town. It has a lot of art collections and some great paintings from the 13th centuries. This museum opens daily at 8:00 am. 4. The Palio

This is an exciting horse race that is held in Siena two times a year. There are other ones that are held in other cities as well.  This is one of the most popular festivals in Italy. You are able to enjoy this horse race in the Siena's main square called Piazza del Campo. The horse races are usually very crowded. Therefore, you need to buy the Palio tickets well in advance. There are some sellers who sell horse race tickets for all tourists who come to Siena. You can also take some Palio packages that may include the reserved ticket for the palio race and the parade.

Those are some great attractions that you can see in Siena. This town is about 2 - 3 hours away from Rome and an hour from Florence. You are able to get access to this town via train or bus. The train from Milan usually takes about 3 - 4 hours to arrive at this city. There are some local buses that may help you move from one place to another one easily. You can also take the shuttle bus to go to the main center. Once you get to Siena you can easily walk around the town and enjoy all the sights and attractions that it has to offer.
