Sagra Prugnolo - mushroom and wild asparagus - Configni (RI)

Every year in the Lazio region (Rome area), the town of Configni will celebrate a mushroom and wild asparagus festival.

They gather them from the local fields, woods, etc. and cook them in a local pasta called ‘stringozzi' and they serve them with chicken, lamb, beans, etc.   Of course, they will have a local wine to wash it down.

 

The event starts at 8:30 in the morning, and will go on until the evening.
