The Italian Trade Commission, in collaboration with Innova Consulting Group Inc. and Sbarro Health Research Organization, is holding an international training seminar titled "Fostering International Entrepreneurship & Innovation: U.S. & Italian Strategies for Turning Research into Business."
Discussion topics will explore commercializing science research by creating start-up businesses, covering international research models, funding opportunities in Italy and Philadelphia, and successful international case studies.
The program targets scientific researchers who want to translate their work into spin-off businesses in the Philadelphia area or Italy. Speaker highlights include Aleardo Furlani, managing director of INNOVA S.p.A. in Rome; Antonio Giordano, Ph.D., president of SHRO; Aniello Musella, Italian Trade Commissioner; Gennaro Ciliberto, M.D., Ph.D., Scientific Director of the National Cancer Institute "G Pascale," Naples, Italy; and NIAF Chief Operating Officer John Viola.
