If you love gelato, and find yourself in Florence during the latter part of May, you should definitely check out the Florence Ice-Cream Festival.

There will be a variety of flavors by Italy's top ice-cream makers, which can be sampled.

Tastings will be offered every day in Piazza Santissima Annunziata as follows:

 

Fri., 10 am to 11 pm

Sat. and Sun., Noon to 11 pm

Mon., 10 am to 3 pm

Workshops on ice-cream making and an exhibition on its origins can be seen at:

Caffe Giubbe Rosse every day and special events at Piazza Strozzi and the Palazzo Vecchia.
