Alitalia, Italy's national carrier made the following announcement today:

THE AIRBUS A330 ARRIVES IN AUGUST 2010

This summer, two new A330-200 Aircraft begin service between the US and Italy. The aircraft will operate between Milan (Malpensa) and New York- JFK beginning August 10 and between Milan (Malpensa) and Miami beginning August 12 *.

Passengers traveling on the A330 Aircraft will enjoy new lie-flat seats, which include a built-in massage feature. A divider screen allows passengers to relax in privacy. Individual entertainment systems offer numerous on-demand audio and video features. Choose from over 45 films, available in 8 languages, sit-coms, videogames and real-time news. You can also connect your MP3 player and listen to your favorite music. Laptop connections and satellite telephones are also available in the Magnifica Class Cabin onboard the new A330-200 Aircraft. View connecting flight information in Milan (Malpensa) and Rome (Fiumicino) airports.

* The service will soon be available for flights from and to Rome, Fiumicino.
