Italian sports newspaper, Gazzetta dello SportItaly is a country that is rabid for its sports. In fact, there are even 3 daily Italian newspapers that focus entirely on sports.

The more popular one being La Gazzetta dello Sport which is published with a bright pink paper to make it stand-out. It began publishing in 1896 and had a heavy emphasis on cycling. In fact, the color pink is the jersey worn by the race leader of the Giro d’Italia cycling race.

Another popular sports paper is the Corriere dello Sport, which began publishing in 1924. It originally only published 3 times a week, but later became a daily paper in 1927. This paper is published in Rome but can be found all throughout Italy.

Of course you can also follow the sports in Italy by reading some of their popular daily newspapers such as Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica and Il Mattino. Of course, the amount of coverage is not as in-depth as the daily papers.
